It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

What I'm looking for:
Everything! Wolves, foxes, fennec foxes, ferrets, servals, bobcats, tigers, other big cats, small cats, deers, dragons, gryphons, dogs, birds, hybrids, original species.. bring it!
I'm leaving the details to your imagination, but here are some things I really like:
-White base color with black and red markings<33 (mostly on canines)
-Cute and fluffy things! No need to go all big eyes and oversized heads, but animals with fur. Creepy and slimy things just aren't my thing.. Still don't be afraid to make something dark/evil
-Anything tribal
-Native american stuff
-Feathers!
-Tawny, golden, brown, white, red, blue, cyan, gray, black (well, not all combined)
-I like more natural base colors, but with smaller markings in unnatural colors like blue or red
-Long tails, big/long

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Miscats + suggest pixel art

As a new pixel art GM, I have seen more pixel art than last few years put together. So last few days I have seen many new deviations added to deviantART pixel art gallery and I have tried to comment as many good ones as I can. (if I haven't commented yours, then it doesn't mean that it isn't good.) Unfortunately browsing through pixel art gallery I have seen many deviations that aren't pixel art. For example stamps, vector, etc. I'm quite sure that I'm not the only GM with this problem and its sad. I also know that its quite hard to fix it atm, so if you see some miscats and you have a extra 30 seconds, then please just report about it. :)

Anyway, talking about good pixel art. If you see something that you like and you think others would like it aswell, then please send me a note with a link to your suggested deviation. I'm always glad to see awesome pixel art and I might feature it in my news articles or even as DD.

If you have any other ideas about pixel art, then let me know.


Btw, its so snowy out there. :la:

The amount of miscategorized images on here is one of the main reason why I migrated over to PixelJoint. I guess that's the disadvantage of not having a group of people accepting and declining submissions.

Gallery Info: Vexel
Vexel is a) A full raster piece taking after the look of vector (Layers) , b) raster layers along with vector layers (For example, a solid raster base with vector gradients), and c) A vector piece (excluding gmesh) with raster elements (Textures, patterns, dropshadows, outerglows) :)

I was hoping for something other than a definition I can look up from the gallery. The difference of vector and vexel look too similar.

hmm, well vexel is vector + pixel. Pixel means rasterized, like pixel art. vexel uses pixelling or rastering. So you create a certain resolution only and when you try to increase the resolution or magnify you see it pixellated or loss of clarity. Vector on the other hand, is loss less media. So you can start it small and increase it as much as you want without decreasing the resolution. So, if you use pen tool and brush over it, use textures, add more images say, it is a vexel. but in vectors you can't "paint" in it.
dA's vector and vexel GMs ^ChewedKandi and ^jussta might be more able to clear this up! :)
