Lighting 101
This is more of a tutorial series than a single tutorial. Over the years it has been a extremely helpful and popular tutorial for everyone who is into photography. It starts out with lightning basics and then goes deeper and deeper into it. Definitely a must see tutorial if you are interested in things like this.

White Background
This tutorial is over 5 years old but lighting hasn't changed with that time. In this tutorial author explains how to take high quality photos with seamless white background. This tutorial starts off with materials and room requirements aka what you have to have to make this thing work. After that it moves on and shows real life example of a studio and a equipment they use to shoot white background photos.

Portraits with One Light
This tutorial is more for the beginners who lack the amount of camera equipment they have but still already have some. In this tutorial you need camera, photo umbrella and stand-alone flash. With these 3 parts you are shown how to shoot good portrait photos with only one light, with a little help of sun here and there. Even if you don't have the equipment needed, it still gives you some good ideas on how to take good portrait photos without any expensive camera gear.

Simple Product Photography
Just like the second tutorial in this article, this tutorial also teaches you how to take photos with white background. But unlike the second tutorial, it teaches you how to take photos about products in softbox manner. You definitely need a bit more camera equipment but the overall idea behind this tutorial is that you can take product photos anywhere you like as long as you know how to do it.

Understanding Light
This is the last tutorial for this time but it is a good one to end the article. It's a little bit different tutorial than all the others because it's more of a "see how I did it" rather than "this is how to do it" tutorial. The author of this tutorial presents you with many different photos from inside to outside and from people to bugs and flowers and shows you the details how he took them. Be sure to check it out and see what you can learn from it.
